Funny - Allie is logged in on my computer too!! I'll do this only once as well!

So this is me and Allie at a friends shower. Hope you like the picture.

Somehow I am logged onto the Penner blog on my computer. I will only abuse this once!!!

I have always wanted to be an honorary Penner. Now my dream has come true. At one point I am assuming Allie used my computer to either log into her blog or her gmail account. With that in mind, it never logged out. Now I could have just logged out and been a good Christian, but I am also an Energizer so I am going to have to take advantage. Don't be mad Allie, your husband would have done the same...and probably worse.

I love you Penners!!!!

Making a boat...

Jesse and I help out with the youth group at our church. A few weekends ago we had such a great time with them on the opening leadership night for the 2009-2010 year. Here is what we did... We split the group of kids into 5 teams, gave them each a huge piece of cardboard, ductape, plastic garbage bags and about 25 balloons. They had about 20 minutes to make a boat that they could float on. The team with the most people on at the end of the challenge wins. It was so much fun. We were hoping that some teams would try to cut up the cardboard, but all teams chose to use the flat surface of the cardboard and attach balloons/plastic bags on top of it. It was awesome! The kids had a great time and we enjoyed seeing them work together and grow as a team! We can't wait for this year!

The Amazing Race

So... I haven't been much of a blogger lately. I know... I know... I feel so disconnected. It is with good reason. I have been busy planning an event for our youth group. This weekend is "The Amazing Race" with our high school kids. In the television show teams of two race around the world, completing multiple tasks in each country. The tasks are both cultural and unique to that region. We have tried to recreate this in the Fresno area. It is going to be so much fun!!! We are expecting 120 high school kids... with around 30 stops around the county. We are doing everything from rolling pizza dough to stacking hay. So... look for pictures, I will try to post them as soon as I recover!
