My Pregnant Belly...

This past weekend was busy for me... despite being on bed rest, I had a baby shower that my work threw for me and a dear friend of mine got married... So I made it to her reception for a bit and scooted out! I have been worried that I may not get any good pictures of my belly if I were to go into labor too soon so thankfully, Cherie helped me out and we got it done while I took the time to do my hair and mac up... I don't really need to usually in my PJs! Here are a few of our favorites!

Our baby is super active right now... I think that he or she is getting a bit tired of being cramped and has been protruding and pushing and poking... how sweet...a feeling I will never forget!!!

Football games and friends

A few weeks ago, we went to the Fresno State Football game with our friends Breann and Kris Cadieux. If you remember back, Breann and Kris went to Costa Rica with us. She was the tough tough mamma who broke her ankle while we were in a remote area and had to tough it out with no pain meds for 10 hours because she was 27 weeks pregnant!!! She had a few surgeries and was finally off of crutches in late September. While at the game, Breann was 3 days overdue with her baby!!! She worked it out and walked up the stairs multiple times to try and get that baby to drop and come out!!!
30 weeks and counting!

You wouldn't think that she is 10 weeks ahead of me... we are pretty close in size!

CONGRATS!!! On Wednesday of the next week Breann went into labor... after 48 hours of contractions she was stationary at a 9 and ended up needing a C-Section. Emry was 8.2lb, 21 inches and born on 10/13/2010!!! Way to go Breann!
She looks so great! They are going to be the best parents ever! We are so excited to see if our baby will be a boy or girl... Emry Penner??? or 2 sweet best friend little girls!!!

My free time

What is a person to do with all this free time??? I have been on bed rest for almost 3 full weeks now. I suppose time has gone by pretty fast, I feel like all things considered I have gotten a lot accomplished: I finished a 1,000 piece puzzle (I glued it and will force my child to take it with him or her to college to think of mamma before they make decisions :) haha), I have read most of "Making Children Mind Without Losing Yours" by Dr. Kevin Leman... a definite must read for moms I have successfully watched 4 seasons of "Say Yes To The Dress"... 3 seasons of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" (one of my new-found guilty pleasures)... I have created a picture book for Jesse and I for 2010 (so far)... coordinated Christmas with extended family... done some Christmas shopping... and input some data for my mom and The Well. My achiever has been at least moderately satisfied.

Most of all, I have had some good time to spend praying and watching sermons online (thank you technology!). I am not a still person so it has been such a wonderful thing for me to almost be forced to relax and rest in God's presence!!! Thank you to everyone who has visited, brought meals, and prayed for Jesse and me! We really appreciate you!
