Family Snow Day

On Sunday, we advantage of having Auntie TT and Uncle Aaron in town and headed to the fresh and beautiful snow!  When we arrived, I had rigged a laundry basket for Jed to ride in... it was pretty cute!  We loaded all of our stuff on top of Jed and headed to the lodge.
Getting used to the extra clothes was a bit tricky, but Jed's overall experience was good.
It was a little bright for him... unfortunately, he would not wear mommy's sunglasses to help.
Jed LOVED to play in the rental poles... probably for a good 30-40 minutes throughout the day was spent in and out of these poles!  The simple things...

The sun was shining and I found a place to park it... Jed actually fell asleep on mommy for about 30 minutes while we watched the skiers go by.  It was his ONLY nap throughout the day!

The setting for the lovely nap... with the first run in the backdrop.

We enjoyed watching Aubrey Rose ski on the bunny hill!  She did soooo great!  And looked SOOOOO cute in her PINK outfit!
Aubrey and Jed feeling out the powder...

Another attempted nap (failed)... but we got him to relax for about 10 minutes in the laundry basket under the table.  Good try.
 The beautiful slopes.
Auntie TT and Aubrey Rose enjoying more powder!
My sweet little boy loved dipping his pacifier into the powder and putting it in his mouth, it was so cute!
If you are wondering where the boys are... well, they were on the slopes.  Jesse had a great time, the last time he skied was 2 years ago, so this was a treat for him!  It was a wonderful day in one of God's amazing creations!

It's Official... We are Pregnant!

One of my recent posts was explaining how sick we have all been (and are currently)... one of the main reasons I have been so sick is I am pregnant!  We are due on September 8, 2012... putting us at around 14 weeks.  Today we had an ultrasound to check out our little bundle of joy.  I thought it was the perfect day to make it facebook official...

The ultrasound tech put the probe on my belly and sure enough, our little one was doing a head stand!  It was hilarious... They don't know which way is up, but it was so funny how extended the baby was in such a unique position. (see below)

This pregnancy has been different that Jed's in so many ways.  For one, I have been a lot more sick with morning (afternoon and evening) sickness... but having a little one running around has made time fly!  I am grateful for all of the sickness, it provides reassurance.  Poor Jesse.

Speaking of Jesse... he has been such a trooper.  He wakes up with Jed early so I can sleep in... and understands when I am too tired or sick to do anything.  About a month ago, Jed would wake up saying "mommy"... he would say "mommy" 500 times a day!!! Now, when I get him out of his crib, he says "mommy" but then he says "daddy", "dada"... almost like, lets go wrestle!!!  With Jed, Jesse choose the name "Terry Dactle" (get it, the dinosaur) because we did not know the gender.  This time around, Jesse decided that "Pat Myback" was a good gender neutral name as well (although we are finding out).  So, introducing Pat Myback... what a creative man I have!

I was so nervous about this pregnancy because of how my last one ended with bed rest and a vacation at the hospital.  My doctor is taking every precaution with me.  Starting next week, I have weekly progesterone injections (smooth muscle relaxant), we are doing ultrasounds to check my cervical length frequently, I will be getting 3 rounds of steroids starting at 24 weeks to help with lung development (just in case) and we are doing a test every 2 weeks starting at 24 weeks to check for sings of labor.  All this to say, I am in good hands.  I am much more cautious, am able to rest more with only working 2 days a week and, when I feel like I need to sit down, I DO!!!  If anything, I am over cautious.  Lord willing, I will have this baby in September... a great month (my birthday is September 7th).

So, if you are praying people, start now for my journey... and I do have a ton of doctor appointments, so if you ever want to play with a 16 month old, let me know!
