Forever His Children

On May 15th we were so blessed to dedicate Jedidiah at our church. It worked out so perfectly because our nephew Austin is only 3 months younger then Jed so we were able to do both at once. Jerrod Rumley did a fantastic job and made it so special for us. He encouraging us as parents to be Christ-like, to read our Bible and to love each other and that these are the best way to love Jed. He spoke individually to Blake, Cherie, Aubrey and Austin and then to Jesse, me and Jedidiah. It was such a special moment for us that we will cherish!

Jedidiah did so fantastic during the service he sat with me in the cry room because he had a stuffy nose. He slept most of the service and was so sweet during the music and dedication!

Before the church service started at 9:00am my day began with a huge heap of dough. I woke up around 5:30 and made 60 balls of dough! When mass numbers are necessary, a trash bag is my best friend! Easy clean up and it can grow as big as it wants!
Cherie and I had such a great time decorating for our boys! Despite the weather being iffy... to rain or not to rain... we had a gorgeous day!

A visit from Auntie Lolo

Last weekend my sister came to visit us. It was so wonderful to see her! We had such a great time with her and she loved seeing Jed. He has gained 6 pounds since she last saw him, has learned to sit up and is such a different kid!!! We had a yummy dinner on Friday night with my grandparents and enjoyed the Fresno summer evening.
Jed finally snoozing after lots of social time!

Golden Gate Park Flower Conservatory

While we were in San Francisco we went to the Golden Gate Park Flower Conservatory. It was amazing. I have always had a fascination with flowers and have loved taking pictures of them. Here is a few of the flowers we saw!

Birthday Weekend in Alameda & San Francisco

Happy Birthday HP!!! For Opa's birthday we decided on a whim to pack up all of the kids and head to Auntie "TT's" and Uncle Aaron's home town Alameda. Alameda is a small island across the bay from San Francisco (I know... SPOILED!!!). They had such an amazing day planned for all of us. It started at the Hampton Inn Oakland Airport (which is an amazing hotel) with continental breakfast. We gathered and made it just in time to walk onto the Alameda-Oakland-San Francisco Ferry. It could not have been a more beautiful day!

This is the Bay Bridge and in the distance, you can see the Golden Gate Bridge!

After the ferry ride, we had a wonderful time at the farmers market... we snacked on some fresh fish tacos, clam chowder and tasted some amazing cheese. The cheese was a special treat for me because I have only been eating goat cheese because of Jed's allergy. They had every kind of goat cheese imaginable! I was in heaven! After our lovely morning, it was time for our next adventure. We walked a few blocks and took the underground bus to Golden Gate Park!

After the bus ride we arrived at one of the most historic parts of San Francisco. The homes were so beautifully colored (the picture doesn't do it justice)! This was also fun for me because my dad's parents lived in this neighborhood when they were medical residents at San Francisco General Hospital (just up the street from this picture). It was fun to see where my dad lived when he was a baby.

From the bus, we walked a few blocks to Golden Gate Park. It was so fun to see the difference in culture in the city. There were SOOOO many people outside at the park. We found our way to the Flower Conservatory where we had a beautiful lunch/snack that TT and Aaron had planned for us. Salami, Cheese ... yummy. We overlooked the beautiful flower gardens in front of the building. Harold, Margie and I went into the conservatory and saw all of the amazing flowers (I will post later about that).

After our snack we walked to the kids park in Golden Gate Park. It was unbelievable! By far the coolest park I have ever seen! Aubrey loved sliding down the slide with uncle Aaron's help.
After a long and fun day around the city, we took the BART back to Oakland where we got to tour Aaron's amazing and I mean AMAZING work. It is quite the company he has (fountain drinks, flat screen TVs, an amazing view, a pumping/nursing room (which I was particularly jealous of) and SOOO much more). We ended the day with Chinese food back at the hotel and a bunch of tired kids (and adults).

On Sunday we visited TT and Aaron's apartment, went to the beach for a few pictures, (later post) and made a trip to IKEA!!! It doesn't get much better than that!

Thanks to our gracious hosts!
