time flies when you are having fun! it seems like just yesterday that I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of my first baby in the hospital... and here we are, 2 years later... wow, how time flies! i loved looking back and reading about who you were a year ago

CARS!!! beep beep!!! you LOVE cars, any car, but especially BIG cars, garbage or cement trucks... OPA's JEEP!!! We will be driving on the road, see a jeep and call it "Opa's Jeep", see a lexus SUV and call it "Oma's car", see a Honda Civic and call it "Daddy's Car"... YOU KNOW YOUR CARS!!!
despite not quite knowing what to do with "Riley Nae" you are an amazing big brother. you love her so much, talk to her "goo goo gaa gaa" and always want to play with her in "Riley's toy"...
you love your grandparents... all 4 of them for so many different reasons and I hope you continue to cherish times with them. gardening with "D"... golfing with bapa... playing in cars... doing "praisals"(appraisals) with Opa... walking, going to the park and reading with oma... you also love visiting great grandma and grandpa at their apartment and you go look at all of the construction with great grandpa.
gardeners... every tuesday morning, you wake up to the blowers and mowers outside... follow the gardeners around to the various windows of the house... if the sprinklers are going, you check every one (occasionally sipping the tops if there is water in them)...
one of your recent achievements is saying your letters and counting to 11... you don't always do it when we ask but we catch you walking around the house or outside... "P! Q! R! S! T! U!... P! Q! R! S! T! U!" "1...2...3...4..." i always wonder what you are counting.
some of my favorite things you say... beep beep!!! ... when hurt... "blow-n-it"... "SEE VIDEO!!" "Sure"... when requesting something... "beep beep,
maybe 5 minutes" or "snack
maybe"... "Opa Jeep... BIG tires, daddy car (with a scrunched face) tiny tires" ... picture this: when wanting to swim, with fingers spread wide, shaking..."PoooooooooLLLL!!!!" ..."bapa blower, loud, off, in garage" (describing an event in which you asked bapa to turn off his loud blower and put it in the garage)... "diah hiding" (under pillows on couch)... "Autin bite you butt" (after Austin bit your bottom in the bath and you repeat this every week or so)... "Oma car, bugs on it, wash it"... "LALLER!!!" (referring to the ladder you pull out all the time to turn lights on and off, get in drawers you shouldn't and see mommy cook)... "birthday cake, canols" (referring to a book that has a birthday cake with candles on page 26... yes i memorized the page so we could find it every time we look at the book)... "BIG mess!!!" any time anyone makes a mess... "Diah-"All done", Austin-"Abba"" (describing the different ways each of you express being done at the dinner table)... "great grandpa's corvette, really fast!!!, mommy's lap"... (describing a visit to great grandpa's house, when we drove in the corvette and he got to sit in my lap) ...when we pray with a little prompting, you fold your fingers so tightly, "opa's jeep, cancer... oma's car... great grandpa... corvette... cancer... great grandma... neck... AMEN!!!"..."Mommy flower" (as you sweetly bring mommy a flower, or a leaf, or a portion of either)... and one of my favorites... when i say "I love you jedidiah!"... you reply "love you too mommy"... melt my heart!...
you and your daddy have a special bond... involving pillow fights, tackles, getting dirty, working outside, early morning sports center and cheerios, beep beeping... going for walks around the block. it is truly a joy to watch.
you love your blankies... A LOT...

you sleep in a big boy bed and wake up between 5:45 and 6:30 regularly.
you love anything with flavor, sauces, chicken nuggets and helping mommy make and drink spinach-apple juice in the mornings.
your favorite books are "Little Blue Truck", "Little Blue Truck Leads The Way", "Goodnight Moon", the Bible and "Cuddle Up Goodnight". you will read for 45 minutes with us if we let you.
