Happy Belated Birthday to Me...

On September 7th, I turned 27... yikes!  Jesse had a great day planned for me.  It began with my mom coming over to watch the kids so I could sleep in a bit.  Jesse and Chelsey went to BHS stadium and ran the stairs and then Chelsey brought me Starbucks... then Becca brought us bagels... How lucky am I???  We then went to the zoo where we met up with some of my favorite people... It was a blast!!!
Our family of four with Breann, Emry and Elias and Cherie, Aubrey, Austin and Oma.
The kids looking at the elephant.  I love how Jed is really enjoying seeing the animals in real life... it's like the lightbulb went on and he does the noises and says the names now when he sees them... so fun!
Oma chatting on the phone gazing at her newest princess.
 "Monkey...oooh, oooh, aaaaahhhh"
I have a picture of my cousins and me when we were young.  Here is Jed and his cousins.
 Elephant...
The vulture that could pick the kids up... the bird has a 10+ foot wing span... scary!
We visited the new exhibit Sea Lion Cove.  It is absolutely amazing!!!
 And HUGE!!!
With tons of angles to see the sea lions from including a 30 foot glass wall.  The Sea Lions swim right up to the glass and stare at the kids.  They were in awe.
Maybe the best part of the day for Jed was the yellow tractor... of which he hogged the entire time and threw an impressive fit when he was asked to continue on.  I will have to bring quarters every time we go to the zoo now...
Breann made dairy free cupcakes for me... they were such a treat!  While I fed little Riley, I scarfed down a delicious cupcake with everyone at a nice seating area.

After we left the zoo, we walked across the street to look at the water fountain and geese.
Friday night we went to Oma's house for some tri-tip sandwiches and cake... it's sad when your candles look like they could light the entire room on fire!
Oma brought out a cake with one candle for Jed to blow out.  So, for the record, this is not his first birthday... but he did love blowing out the candle.
