A few weeks ago, we celebrated Margie's 60th birthday with a week long vacation in Carmel.  It was such a blast!  I don't think we have ever spent a whole week together as a family!  We celebrated dinner at Casanovas, had picnics on the beach and at the park, visited the aquarium and enjoyed each other's company!
We brought soccer balls, footballs and a picnic lunch to the local elementary school where the kids (including the big boys) got to play on the playground.
Aubrey fell off of the play structure and was a little "blue"... Oma made it all better!
Jesse leading the boys in a jumping exercise.  These boys absolutely LOVE each other.  They woke up every morning asking for each other... and couldn't get enough of each other.  And, they were surprisingly non-biting/hitting for a whole week together!
Our picnic on the beach was so much fun.  We brought a whole lot of equipment... tables, chairs, umbrellas, toys, blankets, and a cheese, meat and cracker lunch.  DELICIOUS...

Uncle Aaron made an impressive... unknown structure.  It was a surprise and at the end, Christy guessed what it was... a Roman pillar.
Oma even got small chairs for the kids.  (I can just see this same picture in 50 years... a bit older and fatter of course).
We played a great game that Oma got... not sure what it is called but you throw a frisbee into a tube.  The boys thought it was a hiding place.

Blake and margie won... for the record, Jesse and I were ahead but Blake got an automatic win shot through the slot...

We visited Earthbound Farms pumpkin patch.  It was beautiful.  They had a corn maze and a kids garden.

 Cute...

We ate some amazing breakfasts including Crepes, cinnamon chip french toast with bacon... and costco pumpkin crumble muffins... mmmmm.
We visited the Aquarium.  The kids always love seeing all of the fish, and Jed's favorite is always pushing every button in sight!

We got to make carmel popcorn for a movie night...mmmmm
Opa and Oma read the boys books.

It was a MUST repeat week!  We love you Oma, Happy 60th Birthday!
